The main visual elements that stand out in this cartoon the most is that there is a footprint on Africa. The people have put a foot mark on Africa, as if claiming people have been here, and it belongs to them.
This issue talks about how European countries have stepped on their land, and taken it. It shows that people had come into Africa, and stole whatever they needed without asking them. They had stamped their foot on whatever places they wanted. The cartoonist's opinion on this issue is that people are taking over land for their needs, and not caring about those living around them. The evidence that supports my opinion is because there is a huge footprint right across the whole part of Africa, which shows someone has been there, and are claiming it theirs.
