Africa Current Event (3)

Forces in the Democratic Republic of Congo are fighting local militiamen in the rebel's territory. The Mai Mai militiamen were normally pro government, but they had been trying to take advantage of the army in order to get their weapons. This had taken place early Tuesday in the around Kanyabayonga. On Sunday, the government troops were forced to abandon the eastern Congolese town. The latest fighting smashed cease-fire between rebels. Fighting between government forces and rebels had displaced more than 250,000 people. They had had a meeting with Nkunda and the Congolese president. Fresh war broke out again on Sunday around Ndeko.

This article is newsworthy because it tells the people around where the war had broken out to be careful of it and not get close. It also shows conflict between the two, and how they are fighting. This article is a continue from other articles, and a follow up to what had happen before, and what had happened currently. This story has also happened not too long ago, and is good for those who need a heads up on what has been going on where they live.
